A Cow’s Best Friend?

As the old adage goes, a diamond is a girl's best friend. It could be in a necklace, earring, ring or whatever form of jewelry, as long as it's made out of diamonds, then that will be a sure hit for the ladies. Is that true?

No offense, but I believe I am entitled to my own, honest opinion. I say it's best to scratch that thought, at least when you're referring to women in this day and age.

Some women might be blinded by the glitters of these crystals, while others get taken aback when they see how good diamonds look when worn with the perfect little black dress. That used to be the case, but it's a thing of the past. Diamonds are no longer our best friend, chocolate is!

I will let you in on a dirty little secret. The way to a girl's heart is through her stomach, and by stomach I mean her sweet tooth...

Really, I mean that. A bar of chocolate, a piece of chocolate cake, a warm cup of chocolate drink, as long as chocolate is part of the mixture, it will surely fire her senses.

Aside from the delicious taste, chocolate also has healthy benefits. But did you know, that chocolate has another close friend? Apparently, cows also enjoy chocolates!

Farmer Orville Miller from Reno County in Kansas is one of those creative types looking for alternatives since their region has been suffering bad drought and an increasing cost of corn. Yep, time to become chefs and create new meals for their cows.

Their secret ingredient is chocolate. You might first think that switching to chocolate would cost even more, but not so in this case.  The chocolate they use has been declared as scrap by a nearby chocolate factory.

That is just very fortunate. "Chocolate is high in energy, so it's good for the cows," according to Vernon Miller, an animal nutritionist. The cows, although making their sweet tooth happy, must stick to a diet where they could only get roughly six pounds per day.

I tell you, things are becoming more odd each and every single day. But for chocolate fanatics, it is no surprise that even animals enjoy the delight it gives. I might as well share some of my chocolates to the first cow I see.  I'm not greedy you know.
