Broiled Banana Chocolate Pudding Recipe

I always (ALWAYS!) need dessert. Period. As much as I can, though, I now try to go for desserts that use simple, whole-food ingredients that are naturally sweet and creamy. This recipe for banana chocolate pudding is one of my favorite go-to healthy desserts.

One of the sweetest fruits out there is bananas. If you’re on a sugar detox, you would stay away from bananas because they are so high in natural sugars, but this pudding is a major treat. Besides, a banana is a much better option than so many other sweet sugary treats. This recipe is very rich and a little bit goes a long way.

Broiled Banana Chocolate Pudding

  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 instant chocolate pudding, reduced calorie
  • 1 medium banana, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar, packed

In mixing bowl combine milk and pudding mix. Into a flame proof dish, pour in the pudding and chill thoroughly. Can be prepared a day in advance.

Just before serving, arrange the banana slices over top of pudding and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place in oven and broil until sugar melts and is bubbly, about 1 minute. Do not burn!

Enjoy! 🙂
