Chocolate Brownie Fruit Pizza Recipe

This may be the perfect dessert to bring to any event this summer - a potluck, a lake house weekend, tea with the girls, wine on the lawn, you name it.

Who doesn't love fruit pizza? And even better, it's been chocolate-ified. This is a definite crowd-pleaser, and the fresh fruit combines beautifully with the chocolate "pizza".

It's a long-standing tradition that when people gather, for any reason, we share food with one another. It's a beautiful tradition that probably dates back to the first people who had fruit and bread in their homes.

There's something intimate about providing food for people. Perhaps that's why the neighborhood dinner party is always a hit. Taking the time to share what we have with others shows that we all have a sense of community deep within. We're happy to bring a little something special, crafted from our own passed-down recipe books, to our neighbors for all to enjoy.

When we see and taste new recipes, food is exciting! When we sit to eat with everyone, food is relaxing, and comforting. Food simply brings us together, not only to squelch our hunger pains, but to share a piece of our homes with others.

As you go about sharing a piece of your home with your neighbors this Spring and Summer - through the recipes you concoct, add this tasty brownie treat to your roster, and remember, we're all in this [life] together.

Chocolate Brownie Fruit Pizza

  • 1 fudge brownie mix (12.9 or 15 oz)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple or orange juice concentrate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Assorted fresh or canned fruit (strawberries, bananas, kiwi, orange, pineapple, etc)

Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. On greased pizza pan or baking sheet, spread batter into 12-inch circle. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in small mixer bowl, beat cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Stir in juice concentrate and vanilla. Chill thoroughly.

Just before serving, spoon filling over cooled brownie crust. Arrange fruit on top. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes one 12-inch pizza.

Enjoy! 🙂
