Chocolate Toilet and Other Bathroom Fixtures

If you had the resources, would you be willing to shell out $22,559 on a toilet made of chocolate? I’m not one to judge, but I bet even the most devoted chocoholic wouldn’t come running to buy one.

The self-proclaimed “chocoholics” who are behind the U.K.-based online store Bathrooms.com are giving you a 980,000-calorie loo, which is part of a 100% Belgian Chocolate Bathroom Suite.

The entire suite comprised of a $11,280 chocolate bidet (210,000 calories), $14,505 chocolate sink (210,000 calories) and – the star of the show – an $80,584 chocolate bathtub (8 million calories!). You can purchase them piece by piece or as a set ($128,934) by means of special request via Bathroomsweets.com.

The million dollar question is... Why chocolate bathroom fixtures? “When you work with bathrooms, you have to have a sense of humor about it all,” Bathrooms.com CEO Ian Monk points out on Bathroomsweets.com.

He says his team noticed there were many people searching for “bathroom sweets” rather than “bathroom suites," and that was quite entertaining. That got their creative juices flowing and they came up some ideas. "That simple mistake caught our imagination, what if we created a bathrooms suite, out of something sweet?"

An alliance with the master British chocolatiers at Choccywoccydoodah made it possible for the dream to become reality. But keep in mind that the designs envisioned are artists renderings. If you actually order one of these products it might appear a little different than the photos.

Furthermore, due to the extreme number of calories you should not eat it all at once. But I especially like the guarantee, "Will taste better than it works."

One last caveat: Don't mistake the chocolate bathroom suite for traditional bathroom fixtures. “It will melt if it comes in contact with direct sunlight, radiator heat or hot liquids,” Monk warns. That long relaxing bath cannot be done in here, or some other bathroom rituals.
