Excellent Chocolate Destinations

Are you a true-blue chocoholic on the hunt for an adventure in new territories? These sugar-laced places will certainly satisfy the wanderlust in you as well as your sweet-tooth cravings all at the same time!

Montreux-Gruyères-Broc, Switzerland

Boring commutes are old news in Switzerland. You can ride the 19th-century belle époque Pullman car that runs from Montreux to Broc and swing by some infamous food destinations along the way.

Experience a culinary delight in the home of the country's widely-known cheese (Gruyère) before proceeding to the Cailler-Nestlé factory.

Knock yourself out as you see your favorite creations being made right before your eyes and indulge in a tasting session while you're at it.

Madrid, Spain

Churrerias are everywhere in Madrid. It’s where you get your churros fix. Those waffle-like sticks of savory fried dough with some rich melted chocolate dipping sauce on the side. The majority of places can serve you even at 4 a.m. for breakfast. Count on seeing lots of party people and early risers in such spots.

Central Pennsylvania, USA

The Spa At Hotel Hershey - home of American's iconic brand of chocolate bar – offers what every chocoholic must try at some point in their lives. The three-story European-style spa's treatment menu will make any chocolate-lover drool.

But the most interesting, and probably the most indulgent yet, is 'whipped cocoa bath' and a delectably enveloping 'chocolate fondue wrap'. Yup.

Brussels, Belgium

Belgium will always be a haven of chocolate. Just so you know, this country has more than 2,000 specialty shops selling a plethora of sweet treats.

If you want to kick your love of chocolate up a notch, swing by the Museum of Cocoa and Chocolate and see chocolate in all forms imaginable - from ornate sculptures to edible chocolate-based clothing.

Turin, Italy

Ain’t no hot chocolate like cioccolato caldo! Thick, slightly bitter, and with a generous topping of whipped cream. Turin is easily the chocolate capital of Italy.
