The actual “inventor” of the brownie will most likely never be known, but evidence points to some baking mishap involving chocolate cake. In any case, history has shown us the result was a hit!

The recipe below is a grand alternative if you're looking to eliminate flour from the ingredients list.

You'll still get ooey-gooey tasty and satisfying brownies, and smiles all around. 🙂

Flourless Chocolate Brownies

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Alba chocolate drink mix
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 teaspoons sugar substitute

Put all ingredients in a blender and mix well. Spray 2 mini loaf pans with cooking spray and pour in the batter. Bake at 350° for 18 minutes. Take care not to over bake to ensure brownies turn out chewy.

Enjoy!
