Vosges Super Dark Matcha Green Tea

The last time I reviewed a Vosges chocolate bar was June of 2009! (Assuming we don't count their sister brand, Wild Orphelia.)

I can’t believe it’s been that long. In that old post, I reviewed Mo’s Bacon Bar, and it was truly shocking at the time. Bacon in chocolate? Inconceivable! That was then. I’d say it’s pretty common place nowadays.

I know I’ve eaten several Vosges bars since then, but apparently I haven’t taken the time to blog about them. Well, that changes today. There are so many good things to crow about when it comes to Vosges Haut-Chocolat.

Wild Ophelia Barbeque Potato Chip Chocolate Bar

I must say, there are some interesting flavored chocolate bars out there (I’m referring to what’s added to the chocolate, not the natural occurring terroir). And by “Interesting” I mean, raise an eyebrow and ask yourself, “who would think of such a thing?”

Today’s bar for example, honey and hickory barbeque potato chips with smoked paprika in 70% chocolate. Hmmm?

Beverly Hills – A Chocolate Tourist’s Dream Destination

Two hours, seven chocolate shops. This is the promise of Great Food Tours’ chocolate tour in Beverly Hills, California.

A premise that begs many questions: What kind of chocolate? What is the dress code? Will there be hillbillies? Can I eat chocolate for two hours and still fit in my pants? Among others.

And as is the case with all adventures, the only way to get answers is to go out and find them.
