Crispello Chocolate Bar For Women Only?

I am not well versed as to where the divisions of the world came from. Wars between countries, feuds between families, inequality between the wealthy and the poor, discrimination between males and females, and the list goes on. We do not have enough time to explore all these issues.

Levity aside, isn’t it just so tiring to have to pick a side and find all the right things to say just so you can stand your ground? There are already a lot of injuries out there. But to add insult to them, even the chocolate manufacturers decided to join in on the fun by creating their very own sexist chocolate brand.

Since way back, the media have clamored about gender specific food products sold in the market. I mean, come on people. Dr. Pepper for Men and Chick Beer? A little too obnoxious, don’t you think? But despite the infamous marketing of these kinds of products, they just don’t know when to stop. Or at least not yet.

Cadbury Crispello

Cadbury just launched its latest chocolate wafer bar called Crispello. This is actually the first new chocolate product the company released since the 1990's. It has been too long, eh? I guess it is about time.

And in that lengthy number of years, all they could think of was this kind of marketing strategy, targeting the female gender of mankind? Ah yes, the vulnerable and chocolate junkie women who just cannot get enough of anything sweet.

But wait, there are some women out there who can actually resist the tempting chocolate just so they can maintain their figure. Body over food it is. So Cadbury took this as an opportunity. They targeted the women’s weakest point with a sweet and tasty wafer covered in chocolate yumminess that is low in calorie content so you won’t have to worry about gaining a few pounds. You couldn’t ask for more.

But I suggest do not let the branding fool you. Of course you won’t get poisoned if you took a bite and you happen to be a male. For our men, just take this as a hint, it might be a nice idea to give some as a gift to a girl you are trying to win over.

(Oh yeah, best as I can tell, this product is not yet available in the U.S. For those of you in the U.K. it's been around just a couple weeks.)
