‘Nugtella’ Hazelnut-Chocolate-Marijuana Spread

Nutella chocolate-hazelnut spread got a swarm of people raving about it. Now, some California fans can have their favorite treat with a tad more kick than the usual. Turns out, a medical marijuana dispensary there came up with a chocolate-hazelnut-marijuana spread known as "Nugtella."

It was invented by Organicares, a San Jose, California-based nonprofit medical marijuana dispensary that zeroes in on marijuana-enhanced treats such as peanut butter brownies, oatmeal cookies, and Rice Krispy treats.

These sweet treats might be delish per se, but they’re kicked up a notch with some hash oil. According to the Organicares website, a one-cup jar of Nugtella contains 320 mg of THC. A single tablespoon serving contains 20 mg THC.

"So, to be clear," says the Huffington Post's Rebecca Orchant, "we are talking about the single most munchies-inducing property on earth, being combined with one of the most munchies-satisfying properties on earth. The call is coming from inside the house."

Nugtella isn’t an authorize variant of Nutella, though. And Nutella is known for trying to stop fan-created Nutella love efforts such as World Nutella Day. That said, Organicares must now be holding out for a sharply worded letter from the real Nutella's lawyers.

However, regardless of how ceaseless your love of Nutella is, if you’re not a patient with a valid California State Medical Marijuana Card, you can’t bask in its awesomeness. If in case you have such card, Nugtella could certainly be an interesting way to add a bit of a kick to some of our best Nutella recipes.
