What you need:

  • 15 pcs spring roll wrapper
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Optional: Sesame seeds for toppings

What to do:

Combine all ingredients, except for the spring roll wrapper, in a mixing bowl. And then, stir thoroughly until everything is mixed completely and a thick consistency is achieved.

Prepare the wrapper by separating them one-by-one. Arrange in a flat surface.

Using a spoon or a scooper, scoop the mixture and spread onto the one end of your wrapper. You can use 1-2 tbsp or 1 scoop, depending on your preference or the size of your wrapper. Close it by rolling upwards, make sure to seal those edges as if you are wrapping a present!

Tip: Wrappers won’t stick easily? Combine a small amount of cornstarch and water and use it as your glue to seal those edges. Oh, you can also use an egg white!

Last step, fry on low to medium heat until golden brown. Drizzle some more chocolate sauce on top or top with sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!

Banana Turon (With Chocolate) Recipe

Well, technically you can just add a banana and problem solved! But here is another recipe as an alternative:

To make a banana turon with chocolate, you will need banana, dark chocolate strips and brown sugar. Originally, we use a chubbier banana called “Saba” but a normal one could be used as well.

Cut a banana in half and cover fully with brown sugar, add a strip of dark chocolate, and wrap using the spring roll wrapper. Lastly, fry on low to medium heat until golden brown and crunchy.

Top with dark chocolate sauce for the finishing touch!

Pretty easy, huh? Serve it as an afternoon snack or as a dessert! You can easily adjust the sweetness by the amount of sugar and chocolate you add.
