Homemade Banana Chocolate Pancake Recipe

What you need:

  • 1 medium overripe banana
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

What to do:

Cut the banana into smaller pieces. Then add all the ingredients into blender, except the chocolate chips. Blend until everything is smooth and combined. The batter should be thick.

Let the batter rest while you set the pan to medium-low. Brush a little bit of oil then pour the batter in big rounds.

If using chocolate chips, add them after you pour the mixture to avoid them from touching the pan and getting burnt. Cook slowly until bubbles form and the sides are golden brown, then flip over. Remove from the pan when both sides are cooked.

And that’s it! Leftover pancakes can be frozen for up to 2 months. Just make sure to place them in an airtight container then pop in the toaster when you want to eat them.

That was easy, huh? Don’t forget to add your favorite toppings! Drizzle with your favorite syrup, add whipped cream, more chocolate chips, more bananas, berries, any type of syrup, cocoa or cinnamon powder, sprinkles, or even ice cream! It’s totally up to you!

For extra oomph, melt some dark chocolate and dip your pancakes. Double the chocolate, double the fun. 😉
